Who Gets to Invest? Understanding the Reality of Financial Participation
The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) Alumni Office hosts a breakfast event on barriers to investing and careers in finance. Researchers from the Swedish House of Finance (SHoF) will take part in the program alongside industry practitioners.
The event opens with a keynote presentation, followed by a moderated panel discussion on what shapes participation in financial markets and how access to careers in finance can be broadened.
The session concludes with an audience Q&A and networking.
Keynote speaker
Marieke Bos (SHoF)
Bos is associate professor and deputy director at SHoF and professor of finance at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research focuses on household finance and empirical banking.
Panelist
Christine Ahlstrand (Course Corrected VC and DHS Venture Partners)
Ahlstrand is founder and general partner at Course Corrected VC and a partner at DHS Venture Partners. She is an SSE alumna and has experience investing in Nordic technology companies.

Moderator
Anastasia Girshina (SHoF/SSE)
Girshina is assistant professor in the Department of Finance at SSE and deputy director of MiDA, the Institute for Micro Data at SSE and SHoF. Her research focuses on household finance and real estate finance.
