Bo Becker, director of the Swedish House of Finance, told Dagens Nyheter that the U.S. has the most effective bankruptcy process as its Chapter 11 legislation allows businesses that can still thrive to continue operating, rather than being liquidated. “In the U.S., there are primarily two courts that handle the large cases because so much expertise is required, not only from the judges but also from the lawyers and bankruptcy trustees,” he said.
