Aleksandar Andonov
Aleksandar Andonov is a Professor of Finance at the Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on the asset allocation of pension funds and other institutional investors across public and private markets, their organization and governance, and long-term investment strategies. Aleksandar’s research contributes to a better understanding of how institutional asset management decisions affect asset prices, market liquidity, and broader economic outcomes. His research has been featured in leading international media outlets, including The Economist, the Wall Street Journal, and the Financial Times. His papers have been published in academic journals such as the Journal of Finance and the Review of Financial Studies. Aleksandar received his PhD in Finance from Maastricht University and previously served on the faculty of Erasmus University Rotterdam. Aleksandar is also a Visiting Fellow at Stanford University, Hoover Institution, an Academic Council Member of the International Centre for Pension Management (ICPM), and a Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR).
