SNS/SIFR Finanspanel: Why have compensation levels in Finance risen so much?

During the last couple of decades compensation in the Finance industry has risen much more than in other sectors. Why is that? Is competition more fierce in Finance?

Is there a risk that the higher payment levels in Finance draws talent away from other industries?

Per Strömberg, Professor of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics will visit the Finanspanel to present a new study on these issues.

Sean Cory from Oliver Wyman will comment based on his experience of developing systems for performance measurement and compensation in the Finance sector.

The Finanspanel is the meeting forum of SNS and SIFR for the financial sector.
